Fairy Themed Castle Wedding Cake
This 4 tier fairy themed castle cake was made for a wedding at the beautiful Donnington Grove Hotel wedding venue in Newbury, Berkshire.
The cake is decorated in a number of different finishes including drapes, edible sugar crafted flowers, sugar diamantes, a quilted effect on two of the tiers and the added touch with a Bride and Groom initials emblem that incudes their wedding date.
Topped with a castle topper, decorated with sparkle and diamante ribbon to match the rest of the cake.
The top tier was a matured fruit cake wrapped in homemade marzipan, the middle two tiers were Victoria sponges with vanilla bean syrup buttercream and strawberry jam and the bottom an indulgent Belgium chocolate sponge filled with chocolate ganache.
